Community guidelines

These principles keep BoyzTown warm, welcoming, and fun for every gay man who joins—locals, travelers, and longtime residents alike.

What we expect

Lead with respect

No racism, femme shaming, body shaming, or harmful stereotypes. Compliments are great—requirements are not.

Consent & privacy

Ask before sharing chats or photos elsewhere. Never pressure someone to meet or go on camera.

Real intentions

Clearly state if you’re dating, looking for travel buddies, or just vibing. Ghosting repeatedly is discouraged.

Safety first

If you set up an in-person hangout, check in with our hosts afterwards. We keep a confidential log for accountability.

How to be a great host

Adding to the BoyzTown vibe is simple—lead with kindness, introduce friends, and celebrate diverse experiences.

  • Welcome new members in your city circle once a week.
  • Share resources when someone is visiting your hometown.
  • Uplift quieter voices in group chats.
  • Report issues promptly—silence protects bad actors.

Accountability matters.

Break the guidelines and you may receive a warning, pause, or permanent ban. Harassment, discrimination, or hate speech results in immediate removal.

You can always appeal by emailing hosts@boyztown.app with context. We treat every story with care.
